I have been photographing weddings, events, and sessions at the nursery since I started as a photographer back in 2015. And fun fact! I grew up (and still live) right down the street from the nursery! When I was growing up, the property was just an empty, 20 acre grass field. Watching Paul and Gwen design and build it in to what it is today has been such an incredible experience and I just love being here.
My husband Korbin and I also got married at Pine Creek in August of 2018! We are a photo+video team and we are thrilled to be partnered with such an incredible venue. Having the opportunity to capture more love stories here every year is the most precious reminder of our wedding and how Pine Creek has always been such a huge part in our story. There are countless reasons I love this venue, but above all, Pine Creek is home to me.

This venue has endless photo opportunities during every season. There is so much natural beauty, minimal decorations are needed here at Pine Creek. With gorgeous evergreen backdrops, lush gardens, and the building’s grand wood and stone architecture, you never have to look in two directions to find a place to photograph. The grounds are meticulously maintained and not a detail was missed. Whether it is a hook to hang your dress for the perfect dress shot or a place for your bridal photos, this venue has thought of everything!
Pine Creek is also home to Scattered Seeds, a flower farm owned by Gwen Sayers! Gwen’s gardens are a huge focal point of this venue and one of my favorite spots to shoot. She intentionally plants them each year with your wedding photos in mind, coming up with layouts and color combinations that always pop in photos. She is also a full service wedding florist and her shop is right on-site! Unlike most other florists, Gwen grows most of the botanicals and blooms she uses in her floral pieces. How cool is that?! Working with Scattered Seeds is always a wonderful experience and whether or not you have a vision or need her to take the reins, she never fails to impress!
On your wedding day, you are faced with so many different lighting scenarios as daylight changes. Having a venue and a photographer that can carry you through any situation is a huge bonus to help make your wedding photos shine! What I’ve found to be a huge bonus at Pine Creek is the flexibility of locations around the venue that make shooting in all lighting situations not only possible, but ideal! The secret garden (pictured above) is a wonderful option from midday to sunset. No matter how harsh the lighting is it is always diffused and magical under the trees. Other options with perfect lighting all day are the greenhouses, atrium, and inspiration area. There are also several trails and pathways that have abundant midday shade.
Having shot so many weddings and sessions here, I have come to know this venue like the back of my own hand (or camera)! I know all of the little nooks and hidden gems, as well as perfecting shots in all of the staple locations everyone loves! I also have memorized when the light hits best in each location on the property throughout each season, and can offer insight on the way things flow around the venue! Living down the street also gives the advantage of being able to keep an eye on the venue in the week(s) leading up to your wedding to get in person updates on current sunset times, garden blooms, and foliage colors!
Having a photographer+videographer with extensive experience at your venue is just an all around great thing!
In addition to knowing the light and the shooting locations, I can also be another person to direct questions to before your wedding or day-of.
Being right next door, I can meet you easily for tours! If our schedules align for walkthrough appointments or meetings, I am happy to attend to answer any questions and provide insight from a photographers standpoint to help make sure all of your ideas and visions for your wedding come to life!
